Marcos e Inovações (by "They are Shameless")

 A lot to discover here. Both regarding nature and the human condition.

Taking a stroll on the other side of this property I found a landmark hidden beneath a pile of dirt and fallen leaves.

According to the owner, this land has been in the family for 4 generations, at least.

This piece of land is called "Campo das Rochas" (field of rocks) and it holds the main access to the fields of the farm since their great-grandparents. Talking later to a Portuguese lawyer friend of mine he told me that changing landmarks is a crime. Also, interesting fact, the new landmark that you can see in this picture is called an innovation ("inovação", in portuguese). It seems there was a fatal accident when this happened. Why the person helping, didn't call 911 is beyond me. Cant help but wondering why he hide-out.

I guess it is true what they say: "There is no honour among thieves".
